Position Overview
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will lead efforts in acquiring, managing, and retaining SMB clients. Your primary focus will be on scaling the customer base, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring high retention rates. You will also drive revenue growth by implementing and refining sales strategies while mentoring a team of sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire new SMB clients and retain existing ones. Build long-term relationships that ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Strategy: Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closure, working closely with the marketing and account management teams.
- Market Understanding: Maintain a deep understanding of Amazon advertising trends, competitor analysis, and market dynamics to guide clients effectively.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue targets and sales growth through SMB outreach, upselling services, and ensuring a high renewal rate.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of sales executives, providing guidance, setting targets, and ensuring consistent performance.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Analyze sales metrics, provide insights on trends, and develop actionable strategies for improvement. Prepare regular sales reports for senior leadership.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5-8+ years) in SMB sales, client retention, and account management.
- Strong background in digital advertising, particularly Amazon Advertising, is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in handling long sales cycles, with a focus on relationship-building.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast revenue, and track performance against targets.
- Leadership experience in managing a team and driving performance.
Preferred Skills
- Deep knowledge of Amazon's advertising ecosystem and related platforms.
- Prior experience in an ad-tech or e-commerce start-up is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
