Job Title: Plant Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to – Head of Operations

Location: Pennya, Bengaluru (Karnataka)


The Company (Pennya, Bengaluru, Karnataka)The company is a reputed MNC in Hydraulics, focused on achieving excellence in the design, manufacture, and supply of connector solutions, components, and connected assembly equipment for high-pressure hydraulics, Industrial material conveyance, refrigeration, and cooling.

 

Role

The Plant Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain process within our manufacturing plant. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Understanding Sales Demand and Forecast:

  - Analyze sales forecasts and historical data to accurately predict future demand.

  - Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market trends and customer preferences.

  - Develop strategies to align production schedules with demand forecasts and minimize stockouts or overages.

2. Material Planning:

  - Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and inventory levels.

  - Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of raw materials and components.

  - Optimize inventory levels to balance cost-effectiveness with production efficiency.

3. Supplier Adherence and Vendor Management:

  - Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  - Monitor supplier performance and adherence to quality and delivery standards.

  - Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.

4. Customer Supplier Management:

  - Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers regarding supply chain matters.

  - Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.

  - Proactively address any issues or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.

5. Inventory and Stock Management:

  - Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.

  - Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records.

  - Develop strategies for inventory optimization, including JIT (Just-In-Time) and safety stock management.

6. Handling OE Customer Industry:

  - Experience working with OE (Original Equipment) customers in industries such as automotive, machining, valves maker, hydraulic solutions, hoses, cylinders, etc.

  - Understanding of OE customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery expectations.

  - Ability to tailor supply chain processes to meet the unique needs of OE customers.


Qualifications:


- B.Tech, Diploma or B.Com

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on manufacturing environments.

- Proven track record of success in sales demand forecasting, material planning, supplier management, and inventory optimization.

- Experience working with OE customers in industries such as automotive, machining, valves maker, hydraulic solutions, hoses, cylinders, etc.

- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
