Job Title: Senior Safety Officer Experience Required: 5 to 8 Years Industry Background: Construction (Mandatory) Special Requirement: Must have exposure to heavy lifting category projects Location: Mundra, Gujarat Department: WTG Manufacturing Qualification: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent Job Summary: Adani New Industries Limited is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Safety Officer to join our WTG Manufacturing unit in Mundra. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, with specific experience in heavy lifting operations. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with safety standards and fostering a culture of safety across the site. Key Responsibilities: Implement and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with company and statutory requirements. Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe lifting practices in heavy equipment operations. Supervise and guide site teams on safety protocols during construction and manufacturing activities. Investigate incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions. Conduct safety training and toolbox talks for workers and contractors. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety standards. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into all phases of the project. Maintain safety documentation and records as per audit requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent. 5–8 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects. Proven experience in managing safety for heavy lifting operations. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and incident investigation. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Attributes: Certification in rigging/lifting safety will be an added advantage. Familiarity with ISO standards and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001. Experience working in renewable energy or manufacturing sectors.
