About Us:

The ffreedom app is India's premier livelihood platform, designed to empower individuals across various sectors by providing practical video-based learning. With a library of over 500+ courses, the app covers a wide range of topics, including personal finance, agriculture, animal husbandry, and numerous business sectors such as handicrafts, retail, servie industries, and home-based ventures.

 

We also offer a mentor-connect service via which individuals can seek guidance from a mentor. The platform also offers a marketplace enabling our customers to buy or sell their products. Recently we have launched an AI Powered bot (SRI Chatbot) which can help customers to seek knowledge on any of the topics related to the categories we offer in the platform.

 

Currently serving over 1.3 crore users across six languages—English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu—we are seeking a dynamic Tech/Team Lead to drive innovation, lead teams, and build cutting-edge features that elevate our platform.


  • Role Overview:
  • As a Tech/Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development of scalable, high-performance web applications and mentoring a team of talented developers. You will work closely with stakeholders, architects, and product managers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 1.   Technical Leadership:
  •   Architect and design full-stack solutions using PHP, Python, React, Node.js, and related technologies.
  •   Guide the team in adopting best practices, coding standards, and modern development methodologies.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure maintainable codebases, and resolve technical challenges effectively.
  •    Must have expertise in providing backend API support for mobile app development.


   Team Management:

  •    Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software developers.
  •   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and deadlines.
  •    Identify skill gaps and implement training plans to improve team performance.


  Development and Delivery:

  •   Oversee the development lifecycle, from planning and estimation to deployment and maintenance.
  •  Design efficient backend APIs and user-friendly frontend interfaces.
  •   Ensure scalability, security, and performance of the web applications.


  Innovation and Problem Solving:

  •   Drive innovation through emerging technologies, AI integrations, and optimized processes.
  •    Analyze, debug, and resolve critical technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.


  Collaboration and Communication:

  •    Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the technical team to align goals.
  •    Maintain clear and concise documentation for architecture, workflows, and APIs.
  • Qualifications:
  •    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  •    Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  •  Strong expertise in PHP, Python, Node.js, and React.js.
  •   Experience in PHP frameworks like Laravel, Code Igniter, Cake PHP
  •   Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases and caching mechanisms like Redis.
  •   Hands-on experience with API design, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
  •   Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  •    Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
  •    Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:

1.   Experience with AI and machine learning integration.

2.   Knowledge of performance optimization strategies and large-scale application development.

3.   Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Elasticsearch.
