SAP Lead

Job Profile: SAP LeadLocation: HyderabadRole Overview:The SAP Lead will be responsible for managing and driving the SAP roadmap across the organization. This leader will oversee the functional teams supporting each of the core domains—Corporate, Integrated Supply Chain, and E-Commerce—and ensure that SAP functionalities are aligned with the needs of each domain. The SAP Lead will also work closely with the Product Owners (POs), Delivery Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, delivery, and support of SAP-related initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of both SAP technology and business processes, with a focus on optimizing SAP usage and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:SAP Roadmap Ownership: Lead and manage the SAP roadmap, ensuring that SAP solutions meet the needs of all domains (Corporate, Integrated Supply Chain, E-Commerce).Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact for all SAP-related initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment between Product Owners, functional teams, and business stakeholders.Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the SAP functional teams that support each domain, ensuring appropriate resource allocation, skill development, and performance.Process Optimization: Work with the functional teams to ensure that SAP solutions are continuously optimized, identifying areas for improvement, and driving innovation within SAP processes.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with the CIO office and other senior leadership to ensure SAP strategies align with broader organizational goals.Support Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters: Collaborate with delivery managers to prioritize and execute SAP initiatives, ensuring that agile methodologies are adhered to.Escalation Management: Be the key decision-maker for SAP-related issues across domains, working with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure timely delivery of SAP functionality.Strategic Planning: Contribute to the broader IT strategy, ensuring that SAP is leveraged effectively to support the company’s technology and business objectives.Vendor Management: Collaborate with SAP and external vendors to manage the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems.Security and Compliance: Work closely with the CIO office to ensure that SAP-related projects are compliant with IT security standards and best practices.Skills & Qualifications:Experience: 12+ years of experience in SAP implementation, support, and governance, ideally across multiple domains such as Finance, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, and E-Commerce.Leadership: Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and leading SAP initiatives.SAP Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SAP technologies, including functional knowledge of SAP modules (FI, MM, EWM, SD, etc.), and experience with integration across multiple domains.Agile Experience: Strong experience in Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.Education: A bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field. SAP certifications are a plus.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA.Experience working in a large, multi-domain organization.Exposure to IT security practices and compliance standards in relation to SAP systems.Key Competencies:Strategic thinking and long-term vision for SAP usage across the organization.Ability to balance tactical needs with long-term system improvements.Collaboration and relationship-building with various business units and stakeholders.Ability to influence without direct authority and resolve conflicts across multiple teams.
