Job Role: Lead Linux Kernel developer

Job Location: Hyderabad


Primary Skills:

• Experience in

- Linux Kernel subsystems maintenance and Linux Kernel development experience

- Proficient in Linux management (Kernel API, Device drivers, Programming interface)

- Experience with Linux operating system including bare metal and virtualization and open-source software development

- Linux IPC Mechanism (Socket, Shared Memory, Message Queue, D-Bus), POSIX,

Synchronization Methods, Multi Threads, Memory Management etc.

- different platform like Qualcomm/ MediaTek/ Nvidia/ Telechips.

- ARM architecture.

- History of Init Systems and boot process in Linux

- Knowledge on Hypervisor and Hypervisor less platforms

- Expertise in HAL, graphics pipeline

• Strong Debugging skills in Linux Programming/Environment.

• Tools: JTAG based hardware emulators, Hardware debugging tools e.g. Oscilloscope, Logic

Analyzer, Protocol Analyzers, Kernel debugging tools e.g. ftrace

• Exposure to Functional Safety (ISO 26262) standards

- FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis)

- HARA (Hazard Analysis Risk Assessment)

- FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)


Secondary Skills:

• Configuration files, I/O initialization and startup routines

- Network Management

- Memory management

- File System OS configuration,

- Customization/ Extensions to kernels, boot loaders, etc.

• Understanding Different Init Systems

• Experience with different subsystems like schedulers, virtual memory, IO MMU, synchronisation techniques, IO virtualisation, ARM subsystems like MMU, Caching, PMU, TIMER, CLOCKS, BUSES, PINCNTRL etc.

• Secure boot experience

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot inter-module, Hardware and system related issues.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, agile development environment.


Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of Linux kernel code.

• You will primarily be responsible for daemons and frameworks that support functionality throughout the system

• Previous experience with writing or maintaining daemons, libraries and command line tools on a Linux platform is key.

• Technically Guiding the team members & Ensure no technical escalation.

• Perform the role of technical SPOC and propose Technical solutions
