The Linux Device Driver plays a crucialrole in the organization by developing and maintaining devicedrivers for various hardware components and peripherals onLinuxbased systems. This role is essential for ensuring seamlessintegration of new hardware with existing systems improving systemperformance and enhancing the overall userexperience.KeyResponsibilities:
  • Design and developLinux device drivers for different hardware components andperipherals.
  • Optimize and maintain existingdevice drivers for performance andcompatibility.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to ensure hardware compatibility and systemintegration.
  • Conduct kernel debugging andtroubleshooting to diagnose and resolve driverrelatedissues.
  • Implement and maintain communicationprotocols between hardware devices and the operatingsystem.
  • Contribute to the development ofsystemlevel software for embedded Linuxplatforms.
  • Participate in code reviews andprovide constructive feedback for driverimprovement.
  • Stay updated with the latestindustry trends and best practices in device driverdevelopment.
  • Document driver developmentprocesses APIs and technicalspecifications.
  • Provide technical support tointernal teams and external vendors for driverrelatedinquiries.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Bachelors or higherdegree in Computer Engineering Computer Science or a relatedfield.
  • Engineer with 5 15 years of experiencein embedded Linux/Linux device driver/driver/kernel development.
  • Strong C/C development skills with a goodunderstanding of objectoriented design. Experience dealing with theLinux community and OpenSource contribution aplus.
  • Experience with any one of the domains(Multimedia Power management Display technologyOpenGL).
  • Strong background in embedded systemsdevelopment. System knowledge SystemDebugging.
  • Experience with kernel mode driverprogramming inLinux
