About us:

At its heart, Probo is an opinion trading platform building prediction markets for India. On Probo, users can find questions on many topics of their interest, like sports, news, finance and many more. Users can swipe yes or no to express their opinion and place trade(s), and by doing so they enter into an event contract with another user on the other side of the trade. Probo is a matching engine that enables the execution of this event contract. Each trade is INR 10, and at the end of the event contract, the user with the correct opinion wins the quantum at stake.

About the role:

We are looking for a Product Analyst with a strong background in Python, SQL, dashboarding, and statistics. In this role, you will analyze and interpret data to drive product decisions that enhance user engagement and business growth. You will work closely with our product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure that our products are backed by data-driven insights, helping to shape the future of our platform.


Key Responsibilities:


Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Utilize Python and SQL to collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, providing deep insights into user behaviour and product performance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using tools like Tableau or Power BI to monitor key product metrics and trends.
  • Apply statistical methods to identify patterns and trends that influence product strategy and decision-making.

Product Performance Tracking:

  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics such as user engagement, retention, and revenue, providing actionable insights to optimize the product.
  • Conduct A/B testing, interpret the results, and provide recommendations for product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the product team to improve features and user experiences based on data insights.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers, to translate data insights into actionable product requirements.
  • Present complex data and statistical findings in a clear and compelling manner to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Assist in prioritizing product development initiatives based on data-driven insights and statistical analysis.

Product Strategy Support:

  • Support the development of product roadmaps by providing data-driven insights and forecasting future trends.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) using automated dashboards, ensuring alignment with business goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in product analysis, data analysis, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modelling, including libraries like pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying large datasets and performing complex analyses.
  • Experience in creating and managing dashboards with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and probability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with A/B testing, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
