Our designers are makers and storytellers. They envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical.The ideal person:Has an interest in designing for education and knows the difference between “good” and “great” and is able to work through team dynamics and timelines to deliver excellent designCan develop detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to communicate interaction and design ideas effectivelyBrings in a breadth of experience in the product development process, from problem definition to detailed user interface and visual designIs optimistic and open to new ideas and ways of workingHas past experience designing digital products, ideally in the SaaS/B2B spaceIs this someone that looks like you?3+ years’ experience designing for the web and mobileFormal design trainingProficiency in FigmaExcellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skillsWithin the first 3 months, you willUnderstand Toddle’s vision and product strategyUnderstand the International Baccalaureate as an educational frameworkGet to know the processes, tools, and systems our design team usesHave one-on-ones with members of the design, curriculum, engineering, and product teams to learn how design fits into the organisationParticipate in design reviews and give feedback on other team members work in progressKnow every corner of our Web app, Educator app, Family app and Student app. You’ll get a sense of our strengths and identify opportunities for improvementDeeply understand our users and their needs by participating in user research. You’ll go on site and talk directly with educators, coordinators, and the school leadership team to learn about the challenges they faceWithin six months you willResearch, design, and launch a product feature from start to end as the primary design owner. You will lead and execute the design phase and partner with product and engineering to ensure that the right MVP is built and launchedMentor and coach team members to help develop the design, professional, and interpersonal skillsWithin twelve months you willOwn and drive the definition and design of a new product initiativeTranslate company vision and product strategy into high-confidence and innovative new product developmentBecome a proactive advocate of voicing the user needs and representing their requirementsHelp to refine how we find and evaluate the best talent to join our team.
