As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for aChief Architectto define and drive the architectural vision for our Ad Exchange stack — including SSP, DSP integrations, and real-time bidding systems.Role OverviewTheChief Architectwill be responsible for designing ascalable, low-latency AdTech ecosystemcapable of handling billions of ad requests per day. This is ahands-on architecture leadership role— ideal for someone who enjoys translating business goals into robust, future-proof technology solutions while mentoring a fast-growing engineering team.Key Responsibilities1. Architecture & System Design Define the end-to-end technical architecture for NexVerse’s Ad Exchange and SSP/DSP integration layers. Design forhigh throughput and ultra-low latency(targeting sub-100ms bid response times). Build a modular architecture enablingplug-and-play demand and supply integrations. Lead architecture reviews, scalability planning, and system optimization efforts. 2. Technology Strategy & Roadmap Define and evolve the technology roadmap in line with the company’s growth and monetization strategy. Evaluate emerging technologies (edge bidding, clean rooms, contextual AI models) and drive POCs for adoption. Partner with Product and Revenue teams to ensure architectural alignment with new feature rollouts and revenue models. 3. Engineering Leadership Work closely with backend engineers to define coding, design, and data handling best practices. Mentor engineering talent and establish strong DevOps, CI/CD, and observability foundations. Foster a high-performance engineering culture cantered on ownership, scalability, and innovation. 4. Data & Infrastructure Architect data pipelines forreal-time analytics, reporting, and ML-driven optimization. Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient data storage across distributed environments. Work with the DevOps team to optimize cloud cost, network latency, and system observability. 5. Compliance & Governance Design withprivacy, transparency, and regulatory compliancein mind (GDPR, CCPA, cookie-less identity). Establish frameworks for consent management, identity graph integration, and audience segmentation.Core Technical ExpertiseDeep AdTech ecosystem knowledge:SSP, DSP, Ad Exchange, RTB, Header Bidding, Programmatic Advertising. Architectural mastery:High-throughput, distributed systems design handling >100K QPS. Hands-on with: Languages:Go, Java, or Rust Datastores:Redis, Aerospike, Cassandra, ClickHouse Stream processing:Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming Infra & Cloud:AWS / GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform Data systems:ETL pipelines, analytics stores, ML model integration Experience buildingreal-time decision enginesand working with data signals for optimization. Exposure toprivacy-first frameworksandidentity resolution technologies.Preferred ProfileProven track record asChief Architect / Principal Engineer / Distinguished Engineerin an AdTech or high-scale data platform company. Strong exposure toreal-time bidding (RTB)andsupply-demand optimization. Entrepreneurial mindset — ability to work in an agile, fast-scaling startup environment. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across tech and business teams.
