About the Role: Our client, a medium-sized Financial Services Company based in the US, is seeking an exceptional Data Scientist with a Kaggle Grandmaster profile for a short-term, part-time remote engagement. The expert will support advanced modeling, experimentation, and problem-solving for high-impact analytics use cases. This role is ideal for elite data scientists with strong competitive modeling experience and the ability to deliver high-precision, production-ready solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop high-performance ML models for forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, or optimization tasksBuild and refine end-to-end modeling pipelines: data prep → feature engineering → modeling → evaluationApply Kaggle-grade experimentation and model improvement techniquesAnalyze complex datasets and generate actionable insights for business teamsDocument methodology, assumptions, and technical findings Minimum Qualifications:3–5+ years of experience in data science or applied analyticsProven Kaggle Grandmaster or top-tier competitive modeling backgroundExpert-level proficiency in Python, ML libraries (XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, PyTorch, etc.)Strong understanding of statistics, model validation, and performance tuningAbility to work independently and deliver high-quality results under short timelines Preferred Qualifications:Experience in financial services, risk analytics, fraud detection, or time-series forecastingFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)Prior consulting or project-based work with global stakeholdersStrong communication and documentation skillsPay & Benefits:Short-term, part-time consulting (flexible hours)Competitive hourly or retainer-based compensationWork on challenging, high-impact data science problemsOpportunity to collaborate with global engineering and analytics teams100% Remote and flexible work setupEmployment Details: Position: Data Scientist (Kaggle Grandmaster) — Remote, Short-Term Engagement: Independent Contractor Industry: Financial Services, Data Science, Machine Learning Key Skills: Python, ML Modeling, Kaggle Grandmaster, Feature Engineering, Advanced Analytics Confidentiality and IP protection required
