Job Overview :

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Citrix Engineer L1 with 4-6 years of experience to join our IT support team in Pune. In this role, you will provide essential first-line technical support for our Citrix environment, ensuring the smooth operation and accessibility of virtual applications and desktops for our users. You'll be responsible for initial troubleshooting, incident resolution, and escalation when necessary, contributing to a stable and efficient end-user computing experience.

Responsibilities :

- Provide first-line technical support for Citrix-related incidents and service requests, promptly addressing user issues.

- Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnosis of problems related to Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Workspace App (formerly Receiver), and NetScaler Gateway access.

- Resolve common Citrix issues such as session disconnects, application launch failures, printing problems, and profile issues.

- Monitor the health and performance of Citrix environments and associated infrastructure components.

- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams, providing clear and detailed documentation of troubleshooting steps taken.

- Assist with routine maintenance tasks within the Citrix environment, including server reboots, service restarts, and basic health checks.

- Document all incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps accurately in the ticketing system.

- Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Network, Server, Application) to ensure integrated problem resolution.

- Follow established operational procedures and best practices for Citrix environment support.

- Assist users with the installation and configuration of Citrix Workspace App on various devices.

Requirements :

- 4-6 years of experience supporting Citrix environments.

- Foundational understanding of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop functionalities.

- Familiarity with Citrix Workspace App (Receiver) and user-side troubleshooting.

- Basic knowledge of Citrix NetScaler Gateway for remote access.

- Experience with basic Windows Server administration related to Citrix (e.g., RDP, event logs).

- Understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS) as they relate to application delivery.

- Experience with incident management and ticketing systems.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for initial diagnosis.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

- Ability to follow documented procedures and work effectively within a team.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience. (ref:hirist.tech)
