About the Role :

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Pune. You'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our unified data platform using cutting-edge Azure and Microsoft Fabric tools. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead data integration efforts, build scalable data pipelines, and contribute to advanced analytics and machine learning solutions, all while ensuring robust data governance and security.

What You'll Do :

- Design and implement the architecture of our unified data platform leveraging Azure and Microsoft Fabric tools like Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Power BI.

- Lead the integration of diverse data sources, enabling seamless real-time and batch data ingestion.

- Develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines to facilitate advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.

- Define and enforce data governance and security measures to ensure data quality, compliance, and integrity across the platform.

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into robust technical solutions, and ensure alignment with key business objectives.

- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Troubleshoot and optimize data workflows to enhance efficiency, performance, and reliability.

- Contribute to an Agile development environment, actively participating in sprints and driving continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For :

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-10 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong portfolio of designing and implementing data platforms.

- Deep expertise in the Azure ecosystem tools, including :

1. Azure Data Factory

2. Azure Synapse Analytics

3. Azure Databricks

4. Microsoft Power BI

- Strong proficiency in SQL, with a proven ability to write complex queries and optimize database performance.

- Solid experience with data warehousing principles, data integration techniques, and advanced analytics concepts.

- Familiarity with implementing data governance protocols and robust security practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to design scalable, innovative data solutions.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Good to Have :

- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.

- Hands-on experience with various data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon).
