IoT Cybersecurity Architect

We are looking for a seasoned IoT Cybersecurity Architect with over 10 years of experience to design, implement, and oversee robust security solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems. This role requires deep expertise in securing connected devices, networks, and platforms to protect against emerging threats in the IoT domain.

1. IoT Security Architecture & Strategy:

• Develop and implement end-to-end security frameworks for IoT systems, encompassing devices, networks, and cloud platforms.
• Define security requirements for IoT product designs, including secure hardware, software, and communication protocols.
• Establish zero-trust architectures tailored for IoT environments.

1. Risk Management & Compliance:

• Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments for IoT ecosystems.
• Define and ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards such as ISO/IEC 27030, IEC 62443, and NIST IoT Cybersecurity Framework.
• Implement secure-by-design principles in IoT device development.

1. Technology Integration:

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate security into IoT development lifecycles.
• Implement and manage IoT-specific security solutions, including secure boot, device identity management, and firmware integrity validation.
• Ensure secure communication through encryption and authentication mechanisms (TLS, PKI, etc.).

1. Incident Response & Threat Mitigation:

• Develop and lead incident response strategies for IoT-related security breaches.
• Monitor and analyze IoT networks for abnormal activities, vulnerabilities, and threats.
• Implement countermeasures to mitigate risks from botnets, ransomware, and other IoT-specific attack vectors.

1. Research & Innovation:

• Stay updated on the latest IoT cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend innovative security technologies for IoT ecosystems, such as blockchain for device integrity and AI-driven anomaly detection.

1. Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership:

• Work with cross-functional teams to align IoT security strategies with business objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to security teams and developers on IoT cybersecurity principles.
• Present IoT security roadmaps and updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years specializing in IoT security.
• Hands-on experience in securing large-scale IoT deployments across industrial, healthcare, or consumer domains.
• Technical Expertise:
• Deep knowledge of IoT architectures, including edge computing, cloud integration, and IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, etc.).
• Strong understanding of embedded systems security, including secure firmware updates and hardware root of trust.
• Proficiency in network security, cryptographic methods, and endpoint protection.
• Certifications:
• Certified IoT Security Practitioner (CIoTSP), CISSP, or equivalent.
• CEH or Offensive Security certifications are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead and influence teams effectively.

• Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT) and securing OT environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in IoT threat detection and response.
• Knowledge of blockchain or distributed ledger technologies in IoT security.
