Lead - Electrical Design

As the Lead Electrical Design in the Engineering Design department, you will play a crucial role in leading the electrical engineering team to develop and implement electrical designs for water and wastewater treatment projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of project design, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation in electrical engineering solutions for the water treatment industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the electrical engineering team within the Engineering Design department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Project Design: Lead the development of electrical designs for water and wastewater treatment projects, including power distribution systems, control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and expertise in electrical engineering principles, ensuring the application of best practices and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including process engineering, mechanical engineering, and project management, to ensure the seamless integration of electrical designs with overall project requirements.
- Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding electrical engineering-related matters, addressing technical inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and safety of electrical designs, adhering to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to electrical engineering design and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
- Innovation: Drive innovation in electrical engineering solutions for water treatment projects, exploring new technologies, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and performance.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop electrical engineering staff, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities to foster their growth and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of experience in electrical engineering design, preferably in the water treatment industry.
- Strong technical expertise in power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical engineering in the water treatment industry.
