Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced System Analyst / Business Analyst with deep expertise in Regulatory Reporting within the Indian Banking/Financial Services sector. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of business and technology, leading the analysis, design, and implementation of regulatory data solutions aligned with RBI and other local compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand regulatory reporting requirements, especially for Indian regulations (RBI, SEBI, etc.).

- Analyze current systems, data sources, and regulatory reports to identify gaps and recommend improvements.

- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for IT/data engineering teams.

- Lead or support end-to-end data flows for reports such as RBI CRILC, CCR, RBS, NPA, ALM, Basel III, LRS, etc.

- Collaborate with data architects, developers, and QA to ensure robust, accurate, and timely report generation.

- Maintain documentation of regulatory changes and ensure timely system updates to meet compliance.

- Perform data validation and support UAT/production testing for new or updated reporting modules.

- Monitor regulatory reporting performance and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies.

- Support audits and inspections by internal or external regulators with accurate data and explanations.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 7-9 years of experience as a Business Analyst/System Analyst in the Regulatory Reporting domain within Indian BFSI sector.

- Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks and reports: RBI, SEBI, IRDAI, Basel III norms.

- Hands-on experience working with large data sets and reporting tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, Excel, Power BI).

- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and lineage practices.

- Familiarity with core banking systems, data lakes, and data warehousing concepts.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Background in Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.

- Certifications in Regulatory Compliance, Business Analysis (CBAP), or Data Analytics.

- Exposure to international regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, FATCA) is a plus.
