Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the spinning mill during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure that all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.

Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the shift team, including operators and technicians.
  • Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with staff to communicate goals, performance issues, and any changes in procedures.
  • Address and resolve any personnel issues, including conflicts or performance concerns.

Quality Control:

  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure that yarns meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Implement and monitor quality checks at various stages of production.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or defects in the yarn.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Production Planning and Scheduling:

  • Manage the production schedule for the shift, ensuring that targets are met and any delays are addressed promptly.
  • Coordinate with other shifts and departments to ensure smooth transitions and continuity in production.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Identify and report any maintenance needs or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out on schedule and any urgent repairs are addressed quickly.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage the inventory of raw materials and supplies needed for the shift.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent waste or damage.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and any incidents or issues that occur during the shift.
  • Prepare shift reports and communicate relevant information to the next shift manager or upper management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for improvement in production processes and procedures.
  • Suggest and implement changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Customer Focus:

  • Address any issues or complaints related to the quality of the yarn or production processes.
  • Ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met consistently.



Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is often preferred.
  • An associate degree or diploma in textile technology or a similar field may be acceptable, especially with significant experience.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a open-end spinning production environment, with a focus on spinning processes, is essential.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a spinning mill is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of managing teams, production schedules, and quality control processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of open-end spinning mill machinery, equipment, and technology.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining spinning machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of textile production processes and quality control standards.

Management and Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in motivating and supervising staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience in managing shift operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and conflict resolution.

Safety and Compliance:

  • In-depth knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices, particularly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, other departments, and management.
  • Ability to effectively convey instructions, feedback, and reports.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills for monitoring production metrics, identifying trends, and implementing improvements.
  • Ability to analyze production data and make data-driven decisions.

Attention to Detail:

  • High level of attention to detail to ensure that all aspects of production, quality control, and safety are thoroughly managed.

Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to changing production requirements, handle unexpected issues, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills:
