Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Staff Engineer SQA to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

Good understanding on WLAN features and have through knowledge on wi-fi Specifications and have worked on wi-fi 7 or latest technologies Knowledge of WLAN protocols Verification of cutting-edge products like multi-gigabit WiFi-6/6E/7 and WiFi Mesh systems Take part in Marketing requirement discussion and to understand feature design and provide inputs on any gaps Wi-Fi Feature test development which includes writing test cases and procedures, documenting test results/logs to assist debugging, analyzing test results to ensure correct functionality Root cause analysis of test failures, develop scripts or methods to help the team do first level of debug for the defects Ability to understand, the defect and proposed solution or what fix went in and plan to test cycle based on the solutions provided Automating WiFi test plans with high performance and reliability through innovative solutions that enable thorough verification of WiFi features

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in WiFi test and validation Experience with various test tools such as traffic generators, automation front ends, test results management Experience in handing WiFi 3rd party test solution like Veriwave, Octoscope etc Python / TCL / Perl / Shell programming experience in creating Automation test suites Knowledge of wireless networking technology, 802.11 WFA certification process, 802.11 mesh networks Knowledge of 802.11b/g/n/a/ac/ax/be/6GHz standards, including WPA2/3 security protocols Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Should be able to provide technical guidance for 2-4 Junior Engineers BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science + 7 years of experience, or MS + 5 years of experience
