What will you do? (Responsibilities):

Project Management:

• Lead and manage mechanical design projects from concept through production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

User-Centric Design:

• Incorporate user feedback and ergonomic considerations into the design process.
• Develop innovative and user-friendly mechanical designs that enhance the consumer experience.
• Balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring products are both visually appealing and practical.

Design and Development:

• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Conduct simulations and stress analysis to ensure product durability and performance.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product components.

Prototyping and Testing:

• Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
• Perform design verification and validation testing to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Analyse test data and implement design improvements as necessary.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, consumer preferences, and technologies.
• Identify opportunities for design and process improvements.
• Implement best practices in mechanical design and project management.

What do we need? (Requirements):

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the Consumer Electronics, IoT-Smart appliances, medical devices, Home or Kitchen automation devices.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and completing design projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.
• Experience with user-centric design and industrial design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
