Job Description: Manager - Operations

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement operational and logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Align warehousing and logistics processes with business goals to optimize fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal SOPs for warehouse and logistics operations.

2. Warehouse & Operations Management

  • Oversee warehouse operations and inventory accuracy, ensuring alignment with fulfillment SLAs.
  • Ensure smooth mid-mile and STO logistics across warehouses.
  • Optimize warehouse expense tracking, resource utilization, and operational performance improvements.
  • Supervise asset management, maintenance schedules, and timely procurement processes.
  • Ensure that damaged and scrap inventory is accurately tracked and processed for liquidation.

3. Logistics & Shipment Management

  • Improve forward and reverse logistics TATs, ensuring deliveries meet promised SLAs.
  • Optimize courier partner performance through evaluation, onboarding, and rate negotiations.
  • Monitor COD remittance, invoice reconciliation, and timely payment processing.
  • Oversee Clickpost-Vinculum system sync accuracy, ensuring data integrity in shipment tracking.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities in logistics and recommend strategic improvements.

4. Performance Monitoring & Process Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs for warehousing and logistics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Track and escalate operational inefficiencies and vendor non-compliance issues for resolution.

5. Inter-Departmental Coordination

  • Act as the liaison between warehouse, logistics, finance, and customer service teams to drive collaboration.
  • Work with finance to ensure timely approvals and payments for logistics and warehouse expenses.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance system integrations for inventory and order tracking.

6. Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports on logistics, warehouse efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Conduct trend analysis on warehouse utilization, logistics efficiency, and courier partner performance.
  • Ensure timely submission of MIS reports, budget allocations, and forecasting data.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 2-7 years in warehousing, logistics, operations management, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
  • Skills Required:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for KPI-driven decision-making.
  • Expertise in logistics and warehouse operations, including cost optimization.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational efficiency.
  • Experience with logistics tracking tools (Clickpost, Vinculum, etc.) and ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills for courier and warehouse service providers.
  • Excellent reporting and performance monitoring abilities with advanced Excel proficiency.
