OverviewAs an Ophthalmologist for evening OPD you play a crucial role in providing specialized medical care to patients with eyerelated conditions during evening hours. Your expertise ensures that patients receive comprehensive eye care services and treatments within a scheduled evening OPD setting. Your role is essential in maintaining the health and function of patients eyes impacting their overall quality of life.Key responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments during evening OPD hours
  • Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases
  • Perform surgical procedures as necessary such as cataract surgery LASIK or glaucoma surgery
  • Prescribe medications and provide nonsurgical treatments for eyerelated issues
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients
  • Educate patients about eye health conditions and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records for all patients
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to clinical discussions
  • Stay updated with new developments and technologies in the field of ophthalmology
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient care and interaction
  • Manage and supervise support staff in the evening OPD
Required qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Completion of residency in Ophthalmology
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology
  • Valid state medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions
  • Demonstrated surgical proficiency in ophthalmic procedures
  • Strong clinical skills in conducting eye examinations and assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in patient care settings
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Ability to work effectively in a teambased healthcare environment
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Understanding of ethical and legal standards in healthcare
  • Capability to manage time efficiently and handle a busy evening OPD schedule
  • Leadership skills to guide and supervise support staff
  • Commitment to providing highquality and compassionate patient care
