About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Android applications at scale. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions that delight users and align with business objectives. This is an opportunity to influence app architecture, performance optimization, and deployment strategies for core business applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop advanced Android applications using Java/Kotlin.

- Translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality, responsive, and scalable code.

- Integrate Android apps with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party SDKs.

- Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and efficiency across multiple devices and OS versions.

- Implement best practices for app security, offline storage, and data synchronization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Write unit tests, perform debugging, and ensure code quality through code reviews.

- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.

- Manage app release processes, including deployment to Google Play Store.

- Stay updated with emerging trends in Android development, Jetpack libraries, and modern mobile technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin with a solid understanding of Android SDK.

- Hands-on experience in building and publishing enterprise-level Android applications.

- In-depth knowledge of Android frameworks, design patterns (MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture), and Jetpack components.

- Experience with UI development, Material Design principles, and responsive layouts.

- Familiarity with API integration, JSON/XML parsing, and asynchronous programming (Coroutines, RxJava).

- Proficiency with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools for mobile deployment.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native).

- Familiarity with Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Push Notifications, Remote Config).

- Exposure to mobile automation testing frameworks (Espresso, Appium).

- Experience in secure coding practices and compliance with Android app security guidelines.

- Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for backend integration and CI/CD workflows.

- Contributions to open-source Android projects or libraries is a plus.
