VMware NSX Consultant

Role DescriptionWe are seeking a VMware NSX Consultant for a remote contract position. In this role, you will handle day-to-day tasks including configuration, management, migration, and troubleshooting of VMware NSX environments.ResponsibilitiesLead architecture, design, and deployment initiatives for VMware NSX and Aria Operations for NetworksOversee deployment and configuration of NSX, Aria Operations for Networks, and additional network tools as neededCollaborate with customers to define business and technical requirements for NSX-based private and hybrid cloud solutionsDesign and implement multi-site architectures, network provisioning, workload management, configuration management, and disaster recovery strategiesFacilitate technical discussions, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions for clients and internal teamsIntegrate NSX with third-party platforms including infrastructure, storage, networking, and security solutionsCreate and deliver technical documentation, design documents, and best practices for NSX deploymentsMentor junior technical consultants and provide guidance on troubleshooting and optimizationSupport pre-sales activities by helping scope and position NSX and other networking solutions for clientsEnsure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirementsQualifications15+ years of technical experience with VMware and related technologiesProven experience deploying, upgrading, and managing NSX-T environmentsDemonstrated experience migrating NSX-V to NSX-T environmentsHands-on experience deploying, managing, and utilizing Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI)Proficiency using Aria Operations for Networks (VRNI) to analyze network traffic and develop micro-segmentation rulesExperience creating and implementing micro-segmentation policies for NSXExpertise installing, configuring, and managing virtual networksExpertise installing, configuring, and managing virtual load balancers5+ years of experience as a network engineer/architectAbility to work independently in a remote environmentExcellent problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldRequired certifications: VCP-NV, VCAP-NVPreferred certifications: VCP-DCV, VCP-CMA, VCAP-DCV, VCAP-CMA, VCDX-NV, VCP-VCF
