SAP Basis Intern

About the Role

Vegah LLC is seeking a motivated SAP Basis Cloud Systems Intern to join our dynamic team specializing in SAP modernization and cloud transformations. This role is perfect for aspiring SAP professionals eager to gain hands-on experience with modern SAP cloud technologies, system administration, and enterprise-grade deployments. You'll work with cutting-edge SAP cloud platforms, support client migrations, and learn the fundamentals of SAP system management in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

SAP System Administration

• Assist in SAP system installations and configurations on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Support SAP S/4HANA system administration and maintenance activities
• Learn transport management system (TMS) operations and change management
• Assist with user administration, role management, and authorization concepts
• Support system monitoring, performance analysis, and basic tuning activities

Cloud & Modern SAP Technologies

• Gain hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Support SAP cloud deployments and RISE with SAP implementations
• Learn SAP integration scenarios using SAP Integration Suite
• Assist with SAP system refresh, system copy, and backup/recovery operations
• Support SAP Basis activities in hybrid cloud environments

Technical Operations

• Basic scripting and automation for routine SAP operations
• Support SAP connectivity and interface configurations
• Assist with SAP security implementations and compliance activities
• Learn SAP monitoring tools and early warning system (EWS) analysis
• Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity processes

Client Support & Learning

• Participate in client calls and technical discussions (as appropriate)
• Document procedures and create knowledge base articles
• Collaborate with senior consultants on migration projects
• Support SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation activities

Required Qualifications

Educational Background

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong academic performance with interest in enterprise systems

Technical Skills

• Cloud Platforms: Basic understanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP services
• Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux administration fundamentals
• Database Concepts: Basic SQL knowledge and database administration concepts
• Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and network security basics
• Scripting: Basic knowledge of shell scripting, PowerShell, or similar

SAP Knowledge (Training Acceptable)

• Fundamental understanding of SAP architecture and components
• Basic knowledge of SAP modules (preferably through training or coursework)
• Interest in learning SAP Basis administration and cloud technologies
• Exposure to SAP concepts through academic projects or online courses
