As our client's talent search partner, we are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager- Finance & Accounts to join their team and help shape their future.

Job summary:

The Deputy Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the manufacturing company's compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, managing corporate governance, and supporting the CFO. The role includes Finance & Accounts, liaison with regulatory authorities, maintaining corporate records, and supporting risk and compliance functions related to industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory & Statutory Compliance: Maintain statutory registers, records, and ensure timely filing of returns with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Registrar of Companies (RoC), and other authorities. Coordinate compliance under industry-specific regulations.
  • Secretarial & Legal Support: Assisting CFO on Finance & accounts and Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to procurement, production, and vendor management.
  • Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable: Processing vendor invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and managing customer payments. Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports, including monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Budget Management: Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, including revenue and capital budgets. Treasury Management: Managing cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available, and working with banks for financial transactions.
  • Payroll Management: Processing payroll, ensuring accurate payments, and complying with tax regulations. Reconciliations: Performing reconciliations of bank statements, accounts receivable, and other financial records.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Depending on the organization, they may also be involved in project planning, execution, and monitoring within the finance department.
  • MIS Reporting: Preparing and maintaining Management Information Systems (MIS) reports for decision-making.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP / SAP systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Company Secretary (CS) – Member of ICSI or equivalent body.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in the manufacturing sector or related industries.
