About the job :

ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE :

Plan, design, and implement a data communication network that meets the Bank's requirements and review the uptime of all links/networks across branches and offices with necessary network infrastructure and prepare for network and backup links, to deliver the business process and customer service as per defined and agreed SLA at all times.

Key Duties & Responsibilities Of The Role :

- Financials and monitor the uptime of network and connectivity and review the network/link and evaluate the need to upgrade for better performance.

- All critical links - ATM/branches/mobile banking/LAN/UPS/desktops/laptops and minimize downtime the monthly surprise verification of vendor reports and identify any deviation between reporting and actual status.

- The management of all IT incidents/ escalated cases, and engage with internal and external parties & vendors for a quick resolution.

- The repeated incident tickets raised by the user department and assess those at regular intervals to find a permanent solution for the uninterrupted supply of connectivity and link for smooth functioning of the applications.

- Manage purchase & procurement within budget.

- The CAPEX budget at the beginning of the financial year for providing branch connectivity and put it up for review to Head IMS.

- The branch infrastructure : for new branches, network, /routers/UPS/ and initiate the purchase process and identify a cost-effective solution to connect all sites with higher capacity and lower cost.

- Critical cites with business continuity switch over Plan both for network and components and identify to use existing components and equipment; ideate ways to effectively use them before replacement process.

(Both Internal & External)

- Management and review the vendor's activities to support the various links/networks/connectivity.

- The technical solution capacity of the vendors to provide support to the branch network/connectivity.

- The proposal of the vendor in terms of cost and quality and recommend changes if necessary, and present it for review

- The vendor support every quarter with regard to attending the complaints on time, response time, repair or replacement as per the SLA

- The entire process of vendor identification for the purchase of network items with a sufficient lead time for delivery of items in time.

- Stakeholder Communication with the application team and assess the expected business/customer growth to decide on upgrading and replacing link/connectivity.

- Update the functional head on a weekly/monthly basis and escalate any connectivity/link issues and possible upgrades/replacements with the negotiation committee and IT committee for all approvals for procurement with the team to scout for external vendors for purchase and procurement of infrastructure

Branch Support :

- The response from the branches and businesses on connectivity and link and initiate corrective action and upgrade the branch's capacity in line with the demand in the business process the branches whenever BCP is invoked with the failure of the second link as well, and provide all necessary connectivity and network support

- Process the network blueprints, including drawings, descriptions and configurations updated and circulate the escalation matrix for the network team to all the branches and business

- MIS on uptime and monthly resolution of branch IT incidents and proactively take action to improve service delivery the SLA with vendors for network and connectivity issues and make changes if necessary.

- Review of installation of licensed software as also of data encryption for data in transit for Branch network & VPN to prevent an external attack.

- The implementation of audit observations of both internal and external auditors within timelines decided by the management & Learning emerging networking technologies and stay up to date on advancements in the field areas of efficiency to provide higher uptime and speed with lower cost

- Review of the technology introduced in the market to adapt at the appropriate time the team to manage critical sites, links and handle disruptions domain training for all members of the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

Educational Qualifications : BE/Bsc/BCA

Experience : Must possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in a senior IT position within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment

Certifications : Certification on network professional, preferably CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/MTA from leading institutes like Cisco or MS,

Functional Skills :

- Handled large-scale network infrastructure projects in the past

- Experience in handling Network/IT Infra Management & process-oriented workflow through best IT/Network practices

- Experience in negotiating with the vendor to identify the best solution possible to connect larger and varied geographies.

- Experience in setting performance management metrics for network vendors and reviewing their performance

- Experience in dealing with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies

- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving network bugs, performance issues and other related problems.
