The company is committed to providing state-of-the-art solutions through extensive collaboration with technical and engineering teams on projects.Role Evaluate commercial mining contracts from the perspective of regulatory compliances and providelegal advisory for the purpose of transaction/contractual structuring planning and ensuring compliance with applicable mining laws and regulations and codes. 2.Extremely good understanding of legal, commercial, financial, operational, governance and risk management aspects related to commercial mining contracts and their implementation. 3. Expert level drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills. 4. Extremely good communication skills as an Advocate. 5. Understand facts, analyse the pertinent legal issues and suggest solutions to mitigate risks in a proactive manner. 6. Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes in the mining Sectors/Industries being managed as a commercial lawyer. 7. Trusted Advisor to the Company on business transactions and suggest way forward to mitigate risks and be commercially and legally prudent. 8. Well versed with handling claims, change orders, extra claim, liquidated damages and suggest resolution mechanism. 9. Maintain good relations with Advocates/Lawyers, briefing the Counsel and suggest Companys viewpoint. 10. Work closely with other departments, including compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to smooth functioning of plant Expertise in Law and Legal Affairs, with in-depth knowledge of legal frameworks and industry-specific regulations- Proven experience 10+ years in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements- Strong skills in Legal Consulting and providing strategic counsel on regulatory and compliance matters- Demonstrated ability to handle Legal Compliance functions, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and internal policies- Experience in managing corporate Legal Affairs and mitigating legal risks effectively- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills- Relevant legal qualification or degree with professional certification; prior experience in the Metals and Mining or related industries is a significant advantage- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work effectively in an on-site setting (ref:iimjobs.com)
