Title: Head Engineering Excellence

Location: Hyderabad & Job Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: 15+ Years


Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager/Head of Engineering Excellence to lead and optimize our manufacturing engineering processes. With at least 15+ years in manufacturing and engineering roles, the successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance production quality, and align engineering operations with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve engineering excellence and operational efficiency across manufacturing processes.
  • Align engineering activities with business objectives to drive product quality, cost efficiency, and innovation.
  • Lead and oversee the deployment of process optimization methodologies across multiple manufacturing sites.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process engineering to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Implement standardized procedures across production lines to enhance consistency and reduce variability.
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, driving targeted solutions that optimize production cycles and improve output.

Team Development & Leadership:

  • Mentor and develop a team of engineers focused on manufacturing excellence, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Provide leadership in training initiatives, knowledge transfer, and the professional growth of team members.

Quality Management & Compliance:

  • Drive the integration of quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, AS9100, etc.).
  • Implement rigorous quality control processes and corrective action plans to maintain product standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive actions to reduce defects and enhance overall product quality.

Technology & Innovation:

  • Champion the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, including automation, IoT, and smart manufacturing systems.
  • Lead R&D initiatives focused on process innovation and technology upgrades to keep pace with market trends and business needs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and operations teams to drive alignment and achieve engineering and manufacturing targets.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for executive leadership on engineering performance, project progress, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related field); Master’s or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong track record in process improvement and leadership.
  • Extensive experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-site engineering teams and driving large-scale change initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and industrial engineering practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.


Preferred Certifications:

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing Certification.
  • ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System Certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).


Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in different environments and conduct fieldwork as needed.
  • Hindi speaking & PAN India travel is mandatory
