Job Description :

Roles & Responsibilities :

- At least 2+ years of experience working in DevOps

- Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.

- Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.

- Ensuring critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.

- Strengthen the infrastructure in terms of reliability (configuring HA etc.), Security (cloud network management, VPC, etc.) and scalability (configuring clusters, load balancers, etc.)

- Expected to have an expert level understanding of DB replication, Sharding (NoSQL DB Systems and SQL DB), HA clusters, Failovers and recovery mechanisms.

- Build and maintain CI-CD (continuous integration/deployment) workflows.

- Must have a knowledge of logging and analysis, Jenkins, build automation and automated deployments.

- Time to time keep suggesting the development team in terms of best practices to follow.

- Taking part in deployment and cloud architecture discussions and providing valuable inputs related to the same.

- To develop scripts and automated processes to decrease manual work e.g. scripts to start, stop instances, deploy code to multiple servers in a single go, IP based failover and machine switching on failure, heartbeat scripts, services monitoring scripts etc.

- Installation and management of software systems in order to support the development team e.g. DB installation and administration, web servers, caching and other such systems.

- Last but not the least the incumbent must be a Linux pro.

Qualifications :

- B. Tech/ B.E. /M. Tech or a related technical discipline from reputed universities

Skills Required :

- DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime

- AWS/GCP/DO/Azure environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.

- Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g. Python, shell scripting) and automation skills.

- Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Loki).

- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

- DB skills: Basic DB administration experience (RDS, MongoDB), experience in setting up and managing Highly scalable & Highly available databases

- ELK: Proficient in ELK setup

- GitHub: Experienced in maintaining and administering GitHub Accountable for proper backup and disaster recovery procedures.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernates, AKS, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt

- Professional commitment to high quality, and a passion for learning new skills.

- Detail oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.

- Strong problem solving skills, including providing simple solutions to complex situations.
