Description : About the Role : CloudRock is seeking a Workday Data Lead to drive end-to-end data architecture, conversion, and governance initiatives across large-scale HR and Finance digital transformation programs. As a pivotal member of our global delivery team, the Data Lead will architect and oversee robust, secure, and compliant data frameworks for enterprise clients leveraging Workday, Oracle, and SAP ecosystems.This role demands a data-focused leader with strong technical depth, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience in ERP data conversion, migration, and analytics. The ideal candidate will combine data engineering proficiency with business acumen to ensure data-driven success in every phase of the transformation journey.Key Responsibilities : 1. Data Strategy and Governance : - Define and execute a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with client objectives and transformation goals.- Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and standards that ensure accuracy, integrity, lineage, and compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other local data protection laws.- Partner with senior stakeholders and domain leads to prioritize data requirements, ensuring traceability from business rules to technical design.- Develop reusable methodologies and playbooks for data quality, lineage tracking, and metadata management across CloudRock engagements.2. Data Architecture and Infrastructure : - Architect and implement scalable data models supporting HR, Finance, CRM, and Inventory domains in a Workday or hybrid ERP landscape.- Oversee ETL/ELT design, orchestration, and execution, ensuring seamless data flow across source and target systems.- Build and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud-based repositories (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support integration and reporting layers.- Evaluate and integrate modern data tools (Informatica, Boomi, Talend, Workday EIBs, APIs) to enhance automation, performance, and maintainability.3. Data Migration and Conversion : - Lead the end-to-end data conversion lifecycle - from data profiling, cleansing, and mapping to extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL).- Define and manage data retention, archival, and reconciliation strategies, ensuring seamless transition during ERP go-lives.- Collaborate with functional consultants and business SMEs to validate data mapping, transformation logic, and data catch-up plans.- Implement robust data validation scripts and reconciliation dashboards for migration quality assurance.4. Data Analytics and Insights : - Work closely with analytics and reporting teams to design KPI-driven dashboards and analytical models supporting strategic business decisions.- Drive adoption of data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Workday Prism, etc.) across transformation programs.- Promote data-driven decision-making by providing clean, timely, and actionable insights to stakeholders.5. Compliance, Security, and Quality : - Enforce data privacy and regulatory compliance within all transformation programs.- Implement data quality monitoring frameworks, leveraging automation to identify anomalies and inconsistencies in critical datasets.- Partner with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to maintain secure data transmission, encryption, and access control protocols.6. Leadership and Collaboration : - Serve as the primary data authority across multiple ERP programs, mentoring cross-functional teams and ensuring best practices are followed.- Collaborate with project managers, business leaders, and CloudRocks domain leads to align data initiatives with organizational strategy.- Translate complex technical solutions into clear, business-oriented deliverables for executive stakeholders.- Contribute to CloudRocks internal data innovation lab, refining proprietary tools and accelerators for future engagements.Required Skills and Experience : - Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, integration, or engineering within ERP ecosystems.- Proven delivery experience as a Data Lead or Data Architect on Workday, Oracle, or SAP implementation projects.- Expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, data modelling, and database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).- Strong programming and scripting skills in SQL, Python, or R.- Experience with Workday EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs, or similar integration platforms.- Demonstrated understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM) and compliance regulations.- Experience leading data teams and managing large-scale migration projects with multiple stakeholders.- Exposure to cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern DevOps data pipelines (CI/CD) is a strong advantage.``` (ref:hirist.tech)
