Location: Goregaon[E]Industry: FMCGExperience Required: 8-10 years (with significant exposure to FMCG + startups)About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic and dynamic Head of Finance to lead the financial function of our fast-growing FMCG business. The ideal candidate will not only bring deep expertise in FMCG finance operations but also an entrepreneurial mindset, having worked in startup environments where agility, scalability, and cost optimization are crucial.Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:- Drive financial strategy aligned with overall business objectives.- Partner with the CEO/Board to provide insights on growth, profitability, and risk management.- Financial Planning & Analysis:- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.- Provide actionable insights through financial modeling, MIS, and dashboards.- Operational Finance:- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounting, AR/AP, payroll, taxation, and treasury.- Optimize working capital, inventory financing, and cash flow management.- FMCG-Specific Focus:- Manage trade spends, distributor margins, pricing, and promotions from a profitability perspective.- Track channel performance, supply chain costs, and retail expansion economics.- Startup/Scaling Experience:- Build finance processes and controls from ground up with scalability in mind.- Fundraising experience (equity, debt, VC/PE, banks/NBFCs) and investor relations.- Comfort with ambiguity, ability to create systems in a rapidly changing environment.- Governance & Compliance:- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, FEMA, etc.).- Establish internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management frameworks.- Team Leadership:- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.- Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.Qualifications & Experience- CA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.- 10 years of experience, with at least:- 5+ years in FMCG finance leadership roles.- Exposure to startups or fast-scaling businesses.- Proven expertise in P&L management, fundraising, cost optimization, and financial controls.- Strong stakeholder management (CXO, Board, Investors, Banks, Auditors).- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Attributes- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to balance growth and profitability.- Hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Strong communication and leadership skills.
