Title: General Manager Government Engagement & Strategic RelationsLocation: Pan-India (Delhi NCR preferred)Employment Type: Full-TimeRole Purpose:Rosmerta is seeking an experienced, credible and well-networked professional to lead government engagement across central and state levels. The General Manager Government Engagement will drive advocacy, strengthen institutional relationships, and support Rosmertas business growth by influencing policy direction, supporting state engagement efforts, and identifying new opportunities arising from regulatory or government program initiatives.This is a full-time corporate role and requires an individual with strong policy understanding, public sector interface experience, and deep relationships across transport, mobility, automotive associations, and regulatory bodies.Ideal Candidate Background, Preference will be given to profiles such as:- Former Deputy/Joint Transport Commissioners, senior State Transport Department officers, or officers from State Road Transport Corporations now seeking a corporate roleSenior executives from:- Automotive OEM regulatory affairs teams- Tier-1 transport technology or compliance-focused companies- Industry associations (SIAM, ACMA, FADA, ASDC, CIRT, ARAI, ICAT, etc.)- Leaders with experience in policy advocacy, mobility/transportation regulation, homologation, ITS, Vahan/Sarathi ecosystem, HSRP, enforcement systems, EV regulatory compliance, etc.Key Relations & Advocacy:Build and manage strong relationships with central/state authorities including:- MoRTH- State Transport Departments- NIC / Vahan/Sarathi teams- State procurement and PPP bodies- Engage in ongoing policy dialogue to support Rosmertas strategic initiatives and future positioning.- Represent Rosmerta in meetings, consultations, committees, and industry-government platforms.Policy Intelligence & Influence:Continuously track evolving regulations, tenders, mandates, and frameworks relevant to:- HSRP- Vehicle compliance programs- Transport digitalisation reforms- ITS, e-mobility ecosystems, and enforcement modernization- Analyse impact and provide actionable recommendations to leadership and business units.Business Enablement:- Support tender positioning, solution alignment, and stakeholder preparedness during bidding cycles.- Identify new project/PPP opportunities and influence early-stage policy thinking where possible.- Facilitate senior introductions and drive alignment between Rosmerta offering and government priorities.Industry Representation:- Participate in industry working groups, roundtables, technical committees and association forums.- Contribute to position papers, advocacy documents, and thought leadership aligned with government priorities.Required Experience & Skills- 15 to 30 years' experience in Transport/Automotive/Public Sector regulatory environment.- Proven government engagement exposure (mandatory).- Strong understanding of public procurement, bid/RFP process, and regulatory landscape.- Ability to operate with discretion, diplomacy, and executive presence.- Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation capability.- Hindi and English fluency mandatory; regional languages advantageous.- Ability and willingness to travel extensively within India.Why Join Rosmerta- Be part of a mission-driven organisation shaping Indias mobility, safety and digital governance ecosystem.- Contribute to high-impact national initiatives and public infrastructure programs.- Work in a respected organisation known for execution capability, innovation and citizen-first solutions.
