Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Analyst to manage internal employee payroll, salary processing, deductions, and other accounting functions for our India-based recruitment company. This role requires expertise in payroll management, compliance with labor laws, and handling financial transactions with precision. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely salary disbursements while maintaining financial integrity and compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll & Salary Processing:

  • Process monthly salaries, paystubs, bonuses, and incentives for internal employees.
  • Ensure accurate computation of salary components, including basic pay, allowances, deductions, taxes, and statutory contributions (EPF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
  • Maintain and update payroll records, employee earnings, and deductions.
  • Coordinate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and salary revisions.

Deductions & Compliance:

  • Calculate and process statutory deductions such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).
  • Ensure timely payment of payroll taxes and statutory contributions, adhering to government regulations.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to relevant authorities.

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and reconcile salary-related accounts.
  • Assist in financial audits and ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.
  • Generate reports on payroll expenses, employee costs, and budget forecasts.
  • Process reimbursements, advances, and other employee-related financial transactions.

General Accounting & Support:

  • Assist in bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Manage employee expense claims and ensure timely reimbursements.
  • Support finance team in budgeting, financial planning, and cost analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing, accounts management, or financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Indian payroll laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
