Senior Staff Digital Design Engineer

While we are building a strong team to progress our cutting edge sensing technologies on a MEMS platform (close engagement with premier research institutions in India), we are now focussing on developing in-house electronics chip building capabilities. We're looking for a passionate and self-driven Digital Engineer to join our dynamic team and take ownership of critical digital design challenges. The Company has recently secured a healthy Seed Round of funding and has also been approved for the Design Linked Incentive scheme of MeitY, which shall fuel our next stage of growth. 

Role Overview:

As the Lead Digital Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the digital design and integration of ARM/RISC-V-based mixed-signal SoCs for sensor interfacing and data acquisition systems. You will work independently in a fast-paced startup environment, collaborating with analog, firmware, and system teams to deliver robust, high-performance solutions. As part of our nimble startup team, you'll have the autonomy to take full ownership of digital design tasks, shaping the end-to-end development process with creativity and innovation.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of digital subsystems for ARM/RISC-V-based mixed-signal SoCs, focusing on sensor data processing.
• Translate product-level specs into a digital micro-architecture and integration plan.
• Analyse and select third-party or in-house digital IP (CPU, security, peripherals) for fitness in power, performance, area, and licensing.
• Develop and integrate RTL code (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for digital blocks, including controllers, interfaces, and signal processing modules.
• Ensure seamless SoC integration, collaborating with analog designers and firmware teams to deliver cohesive mixed-signal solutions.
• Optimize designs for low power using UPF/CPF flows, aligning with sensor system requirements.

What We're Looking For: 

• B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D. in EE/ECE with 8+ years front-end digital IC experience, including at least one mixed-signal SoC from spec through production where you owned top-level RTL/integration.
• Deep knowledge of ARM/RISC-V architectures, AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB), peripheral interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART,CAN/LIN),  debug/trace and power-management controllers
• Expertise in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog for mixed-signal SoCs. Lint , CDC using Spyglass or equivalent tool
• Proficiency in digital design tools (e.g., Synopsys Design Compiler, Cadence Innovus) for synthesis, timing, and integration.
• Strong experience with low-power design techniques, including UPF/CPF flows
• Familiarity with mixed-signal design challenges, including digital-analog co-simulation

Nice to Have :

• Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) for sensor data applications. 
• Familiarity with embedded software development for ARM/RISC-V processors. 
• Exposure to security and functional safety aspects for safety critical applications in SoCs.
