About the role:.

As an Associate Director specializing in Loan Syndications, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the syndication process for various loan transactions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring successful syndications, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and providing strategic insights.

What you will be doing:

Loan Syndication Management:

Lead and manage the syndication process for loan transactions, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful syndications.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agent banks, and other stakeholders.

Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Due Diligence and Analysis:

Conduct detailed analysis and due diligence on loans, including risk assessment, Process modeling, and reengineering

Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with loan syndications.

Break Investigations:

Investigate and resolve breaks related to wires. Ensure the breaks aging are under control and regular reportings to all stakeholders with trends.

Automation/Project management/ Reporting Tools:

Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, capacity/error analysis, and reporting.

People Management:

Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their development and success.

Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies throughout the syndication process. Ensure controls are in place

Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in loan syndications.

Extended roles and responsibilities: -

As part of management group, ensure that the extended scope of deliverables are met as per the agreed time lines.

Represent the firm as FIS management lead in all possible scenarios facing the client irrespective it's in purview of functional limits.

Wok constantly towards building better client services through better processes and contribute for such initiative for the firm.

What you will need:

• Minimum of 16 years of work experience in capital market space, 5 to 6 years of loan syndication.

• Proven track record of managing and executing large scale projects

• Good understanding of the trade life cycle, Syndicate loans, upstream dependencies and how it impacts processes downstream.

• Strong client management skills.

• High attention to detail and quality of outputs delivered

• Analytical and can solve problems quickly and innovatively

• Dynamic outlook, with the ability to adapt and change plans on the fly

• Delivery focused; results driven

• Excellent communication and time management

Qualifications

• Commerce Graduate, MBA Degree or equivalent

• Skill in project management, organization, communications, analytical and people skills

• Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure

• Ability to be comfortable interacting and maintain positive working relationship with other stakeholders

• Ability to analyze business needs and determine related information services support

Added bonus if you have:

• Experience of working with AI, RPA, Microsoft power tools, Power BI

• Data scientist experience

• Project management certification and skills.
