Profile: Financial Reporting

Job Summary:

We are looking for an Analyst to join our Financial Reporting team. The role involves supporting complex financial consolidations, ledger maintenance, and contributing to accurate and timely reporting across various entities and functions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple deliverables efficiently.

Responsibilities: (including but are not limited to)

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and review periodic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and addressing queries.

Prepare and review financial consolidations, including fund and deal level reports.

Reviewing intercompany balance reconciliation and assisting with elimination process.

Perform in-depth analysis of accounting of multicurrency transactions.

Maintain various reporting ledgers.

Prepare Net Debt data monthly and quarterly.

Test processes for data accuracy and manage system updates.

Monitor adherence to internal and statutory reporting timelines for statutory accounts.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Finance, including accounting, treasury, and operations, to gather necessary information and improve reporting accuracy

Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and quality of financial reporting.

Contribute to automation initiatives, leveraging technology to streamline reporting workflows.

Compliance and Controls:

Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, maintaining a strong control environment. Ad-hoc Projects:

Operational participation in functional projects and initiatives.

Provide continuous support for system/UAT testing and strategy development as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (master's degree or CA/CPA/CFA qualification is a plus).
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidations, or accounting (Real Estate experience preferred).

Good to have skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of IFRS and GAAP (especially IFRS 9, 15, 10 & IAS 27)
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems and tools (ERP systems like HFM, Workiva, SAP or Yardi).
  • Good to have skills : Power BI and Sigma Reporting
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with teams across functions.
