About the job

We are seeking an experienced Director - Applications Engineering to drive the our Application Engineering function. The application engineering team is crucial to ensuring customer success as well as providing valuable input during product definition. This is a highly visible cross-functional role that will work closely with Hardware and Software Engineering teams as well as the Product Team.


You will:


  • Own the our Application Engineering function responsible for front-line customer support, training, documentation, application notes, and other product supporting collaterals
  • Be the interface between our customers and the factory
  • Provide key customer feedback into new product developments
  • Create and present product trainings to customers
  • Coordinate and develop product demos and application notes highlighting key product features and capabilities

Ideally, you’ll have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 10 years' experience
  • Familiarity with Arm/MIPS/RISC-V CPU architectures from either a hardware or low-level software perspective, ideally both
  • Experience integrating 3rd party IPs into a SoC platform
  • Experience in leading diverse teams
  • Experience with Jira or similar issue tracking systems
  • Experience in technical writing and desktop publishing software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to audiences of varied background
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and navigate uncertainty
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills

A plus if you have:


  • Defined customer support processes in industry standard tools like Jira
  • A portfolio of publicly referenceable application notes
  • Processor knowledge that spans embedded to high-performance application processors
  • Experience with Linux and common Linux based development tools
  • Experience with FPGA and other Emulation platforms
