About the role – Senior Web Application Developer


Altoura is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Web Developer with a strong backend focus to join our growing team. If you have experience building scalable web applications, are proficient with Azure or AWS, and are eager to expand your knowledge of AI, we would love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of complex features and take full ownership of them from start to finish.
  • Design and develop full-stack web applications with a strong emphasis on backend architecture.
  • Integrate cloud services such as Azure or AWS for scaling applications and enhancing performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML specialists, to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where needed.
  • Continuously improve code quality through code reviews, refactoring, and implementation of best practices.
  • Pick up AI knowledge under the mentorship of the Director of Technology and apply it in projects over time.
  • Ensure security, reliability, and scalability in application design and deployment.


Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Web Developer, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Extensive experience with Azure or AWS, including serverless architectures, API gateways, and other cloud-native services.
  • Strong proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, .NET, Python, Java).
  • Proficiency in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and understanding of modern web development tools.
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in AI development, with mentorship provided by our AI team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.


Bonus Experience:


  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
  • Knowledge of data science concepts and tools.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for cloud-based applications.
