About the Role

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will form part of a dedicated IT team that drives, sustains, and supports global and regional IT R&D web applications.

  • Close collaboration with the IT Product Owner and Business users will be necessary to understand business requirements and contribute to the continuous development, testing, and releases of web applications.
  • You will mentor and guide juniors, providing technical guidance and solving problems to sustain and ensure the stability of the web applications under your care.
  • Practicing Agile methodology (Scrum) during development and release processes will be essential.
  • Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures will be a key responsibility.
  • Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, bug fixing, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems will be a key challenge.
  • Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs will be necessary.

About You

You are best equipped for this role if you have a Master's / Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent, with 5 to 10 years' experience in IT / Semiconductor industry.

  • Professional experience in web application/software development, test, and release management is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience on web application/software development in React/Angular, jQuery, CSS, ASP.Net Core MVC in .Net 6 / 8, C#, Entity Framework / Dapper is required.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in MSSQL / Oracle Database is essential.
  • Good to have: Experience in Telerik Kendo Controls.
  • Hands-on experience in using version control system (GIT, Bitbucket, Gitlab) is necessary.
  • Understanding of continuous integration (Jenkins) and usage of change management tools (JIRA) is essential.
  • A passion for problem-solving with analytical skills, pro-active personality, self-motivated, and enthusiastic team player is required.
  • Self-driven and 'Take ownership' attitude and responsible for the deliverables is essential.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase is necessary.
  • Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively is essential.
