Tech Lead - SAP UI5 Fiori Development

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Tech Lead with a strong background in SAP UI5 Fiori development to spearhead our Fiori application development initiatives.

As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of high-quality, user-centric SAP Fiori applications.

You will leverage your deep understanding of SAP Fiori architecture, SAPUI5 framework, OData services, and ABAP to guide the team and deliver innovative solutions that meet our business needs.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the technical design, development, and deployment of complex SAP Fiori applications, ensuring adherence to SAP Fiori design principles and best practices.

- Provide expert guidance and hands-on development in SAPUI5, leveraging Fiori elements, standard controls, and the creation of custom UI components to meet specific business requirements.

- Architect and implement the integration of OData services with Fiori applications, including data modeling and annotation creation using Core Data Services (CDS) views in ABAP.

- Define and maintain the technical architecture for Fiori applications, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Utilize your strong ABAP knowledge, including CDS views and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF), to guide the development of efficient and robust backend services for Fiori applications.

- Oversee the configuration and customization of the SAP Fiori Launchpad to provide a seamless and intuitive user experience.

- Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and quality guidelines within the Fiori development team.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring knowledge sharing within the team.

- Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to understand requirements, provide technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery.

- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to Fiori application development and deployment.

- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.

- Stay updated with the latest SAP Fiori technologies, trends, and best practices, and drive continuous improvement within the development process.

- Oversee the deployment process of Fiori applications and provide necessary support during go-live and post-implementation phases.

Must Have Skills :

- Proven track record (8+ years) in designing, developing, and deploying custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5 framework.

- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with ABAP development, including Core Data Services (CDS) views and Business Object Processing Framework (BOPF) for data modeling and OData service creation.

- Comprehensive understanding of SAP Fiori architecture, Fiori Launchpad configuration, and tile customization.

- Solid experience in integrating OData services with SAP Fiori applications.

- Proficiency in using SAP Web IDE (or SAP Business Application Studio) and other relevant development tools for Fiori application development.
