Job Title: Production Incharge

Location:  Chennai

Salary:  Depends upon Experience
Job Summary:
The Production Incharge will oversee the entire production process to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality output. This role involves managing resources, coordinating with different departments, implementing production plans, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize output.

Monitor daily production activities, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.

Supervise and lead the production team, allocating tasks and ensuring adherence to work standards.

Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with the stores and procurement teams.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality control standards.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is serviced and downtime is minimised.

Analyse production data, prepare reports, and suggest process improvements for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.

Train and motivate production staff to achieve performance targets and maintain discipline.

Collaborate with the QA/QC team to ensure products meet customer and industry standards.

Address and resolve any production-related issues in a timely and effective manner.

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.

3–7 years of experience in a similar production supervisory or in charge role.

Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and quality standards.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S practices is preferred.

Skills Required:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good knowledge of production machinery and maintenance practices.

Proficiency in MS Office and production management software.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and coordination skills.
