About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to spearhead our QA and test automation initiatives. This role involves defining testing strategies, designing automation frameworks, and ensuring the quality and stability of enterprise-grade applications. The QA Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, DevOps, and product management to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Strategy and Planning :

- Define end-to-end QA strategies aligned with product and business goals.

- Create detailed test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

- Evaluate testing needs for different environments and platforms, ensuring full coverage across web, API, and mobile layers.

2. Test Automation Design and Implementation :

- Architect and maintain robust automation frameworks using industry-standard tools such as Cypress, Pytest, Selenium, or similar.

- Build modular, scalable automation suites to support CI/CD pipelines.

- Implement automation best practices to optimize test coverage and execution speed.

3. Quality Governance and Leadership :

- Lead and mentor QA engineers, providing technical guidance and enforcing coding/testing standards.

- Establish metrics and KPIs for quality, reliability, and test effectiveness.

- Drive continuous improvements in test automation, defect management, and release readiness.

4. Test Execution and Reporting :

- Perform manual and automated testing for functional, regression, performance, and security aspects of applications.

- Identify, document, and manage defects using bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.

- Provide clear, actionable reports to stakeholders on test results and release quality.

5. Integration and Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers to ensure early defect detection and faster resolutions.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.

- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure seamless test execution in containerized or cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Technical Requirements :

- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.

- Proven hands-on experience in test automation frameworks and scripting in Python, JavaScript, or Java.

- Proficiency with automation and testing tools such as Cypress, Pytest, Selenium, Rest Assured, Postman.

- Solid experience with API testing, mocking, and service virtualization.

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD practices.

- Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Knowledge of performance and security testing tools (e.g., JMeter, OWASP ZAP) preferred.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- ISTQB or other QA/testing certifications are an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum development environments.
