Job Title : Application Database Administrator RDBMS (PostgreSQL).

Location : Bengaluru.

Experience : Total 8+ years (Relevant PostgreSQL experience required).

Work Mode : Onsite (Overlap with US morning hours).

Job Summary :


We are seeking an experienced Application Database Administrator with strong expertise in PostgreSQL to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database administration, data migration, complex SQL query building, and shell scripting, along with strong collaboration skills to work across global teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.

- Develop and execute data migration strategies, ensuring accuracy through source-to-target data validation.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data processing and reporting.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

- Work with offshore and onshore teams, ensuring smooth coordination during overlapping US morning hours.

- Maintain database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.

- Implement database security measures, user access controls, and compliance standards.

Required Skills :


- Primary Skill: PostgreSQL Database Administration (8+ years of experience).

- Secondary Skills: Shell Scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.

- Experience in data migration projects and data validation (source to target).

- Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.

- Good communication and teamwork skills to work in cross-cultural environments.

Good to Have :

- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for development and query optimization.

- Experience with other RDBMS platforms and migration strategies.
