Job Summary


The Valuation & Capital Markets Analysis Senior Associate / Assistant Manager is responsible for utilizing previously obtained educational background, along with established organizational and project management skills to successfully service clients of BDO Valuation & Capital Markets Analysis. This role works within a team environment to actively assist in the analysis and resolution of client matters while taking direction and receiving guidance from experienced staff and management members. The Senior Associate / Assistant Manager is involved in all stages of client management, including identification of potential valuation issues, construction of valuation modeling, completion of industry and client research and analysis of financial statements.

Job Duties


Constructs valuation models for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to one or more of the following:

Valuation of business equity / enterprise value

Valuation of intangible assets

Valuation of common stock equities, options etc. for ASC 718 / ASC 820

Performs company, industry and economic research

Performs benchmark analyses and assists with analytical tasks and projects

Analyzes financial statements

Assesses operational profitability and financial conditions

Develops and reviews cash flow forecasts

Navigates public company databases and filings

Documents and ensures quality control of work product for assigned engagements

Composes appropriate narrative reports to support valuation analyses

Develops exhibits and memos to illustrate complex issue

Assists with project preparation and delivery

Archives work files in accordance with BDO Best Practices

Participates in external and internal client meetings

Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for assigned professionals (for Assistant Manager)

Acts as Career Advisor to subordinate professionals (for Assistant Manager)

Other duties as required


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other relevant field required.
  • M.Com / MBA preferred


Experience:

Three (3) or more years of similar experience, required


License/Certifications:

CPA / CFA / ASA or other certification preferred


Software:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, required

Basic technical skills: Word, standard pdf tools


Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues

Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data

Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details

Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment

Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel

Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels
