Job Summary :


We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated QEA (Quality Engineering & Assurance) - Performance Engineer with specialized expertise in SAP systems. As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our enterprise applications, with a strong focus on SAP landscapes.

You will be responsible for leading performance testing initiatives, conducting deep-dive analysis, and collaborating with development and operations teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record in performance engineering within complex SAP environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Performance Testing Strategy & Execution :


- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance test plans, strategies, and scenarios for SAP and integrated enterprise applications.

- Utilize industry-leading performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling to simulate various load conditions (stress, soak, volume) and identify system breaking points and capacity limits.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis :


- Proactively monitor the performance of critical applications and underlying infrastructure components using advanced Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk, and

Dynatrace.

- Analyze critical performance metrics, logs, and traces to identify root causes of performance degradation.

Deep-Dive Diagnostics & Tuning :


- Conduct in-depth analysis of performance data, including AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) report analysis, heap dump analysis, and thread dump analysis, to diagnose database, application, and infrastructure bottlenecks.

- Perform JVM (Java Virtual Machine) tuning and provide recommendations for database query optimization, code improvements, and infrastructure adjustments.

Collaboration & Remediation :


- Collaborate closely with development, architecture, SAP basis, and infrastructure teams to effectively communicate performance findings, recommend actionable solutions, and drive the resolution of identified performance issues.

- Participate in design reviews to provide performance insights and ensure scalability is embedded from the early stages of the software development lifecycle.

Optimization & Best Practices :


- Analyze application code, database queries, and infrastructure configurations to identify areas for optimization and propose effective tuning techniques.

- Implement performance tuning strategies and adhere to best practices to enhance application responsiveness, scalability, and stability.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance engineering methodologies and processes.

Reporting :


- Generate clear, concise, and actionable performance test reports, executive summaries, and tuning recommendations for various stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :


- 6+ years of dedicated experience in Performance Engineering, with a strong focus and proven experience in SAP performance optimization and engineering.

- Strong understanding and practical experience with various performance testing methodologies (e.g., load testing, stress testing, scalability testing, endurance testing).

- Hands-on expertise in designing, scripting, executing, and analyzing results from leading performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and/or Gatling.

- Proven experience with major APM and monitoring platforms including AppDynamics, New Relic, Splunk,

and/or Dynatrace.

- Expertise in deep-dive performance diagnostics, including AWR report analysis, heap dump analysis, thread dump analysis, and JVM tuning.

- Collaboration & Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional development, operations, and business teams.

- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes of performance issues.

Good-to-Have Skills :


- SAP Performance Expertise : Direct, hands-on experience specifically with SAP performance testing, analysis, and tuning across various SAP modules (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA, BW).

- Certifications : Certifications in Performance Engineering (e.g., LoadRunner Certified Professional, JMeter Certification) or related cloud/SAP fields are a plus.

- Scripting Proficiency : Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript for custom tool development, test automation, or data analysis.

- Cloud Technologies : Knowledge and practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including understanding of cloud-native performance optimization techniques.

- Database Tuning : Experience with database performance tuning beyond basic query optimization (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA).

- CI/CD Integration : Familiarity with integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
