Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst & Financial Modeller to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting wih analyzing financial data, building detailed financial models, and providing insights that will support strategic decision-making across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights on company performance, identifying key drivers of financial results.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on financial performance, variance analysis, and key metrics for senior management.
  • Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to inform forecasting and budgeting processes ie. Green Energy Markets, FX forecasting, CPI forecasting etc.


Financial Modelling:

  • Assist with Developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex financial models to forecast company performance, evaluate potential investments, and assess strategic initiatives.
  • Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to understand the impact of different variables on financial outcomes.
  • Build models to support capital budgeting, M&A activity, project finance, and other strategic financial decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data inputs and assumptions for models.


Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Assist in analysing budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Update financial models regularly to reflect current business conditions and strategic priorities.


Strategic Support:

  • Participate in special projects, including market research, competitive analysis, and business case development.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial modelling, or related roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modelling, pivot tables, and advanced functions.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modelling best practices.
  • Experience with financial software and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in renewable energy.
  • Familiarity with VBA.
  • Understanding of project finance, valuation techniques, and M&A processes.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business environments and work under pressure.
