We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester to join our quality assurance team.The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.What you'll do?Responsibilities :Test Planning :- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications.- Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria.Test Execution :- Execute test cases manually to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications.- Record and document test results, including defects and issues.- Perform regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed and new features do not introduce new issues.- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues.Defect Management :- Report defects and issues using a standardized defect tracking system.- Work closely with the development team to facilitate the resolution of defects.- Verify and validate fixes and ensure they are properly documented.Documentation :- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.- Keep test documentation up-to-date as project requirements evolve.Test Environment Setup :- Prepare and configure test environments, ensuring they mirror production as closely as possible.Collaboration :- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure effective communication and understanding of project requirements.Continuous Improvement :- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging testing techniques.- Contribute to process improvements and the development of testing best practices within the organization.What are we looking for ?- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).- Proven experience as a Manual Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst.- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g, JIRA, TestRail, etc.)- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Attention to detail and a strong problem-solving mindset.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus (ref:hirist.tech)
