Role :

DevOps Engineer-Expertise in On-prem DevOps Ecosystem.

Roles And Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-prem DevOps infrastructure to support seamless software delivery.

- Mentor team members and ensure alignment with best practices in automation, security, and CI/CD.

- Architect and enhance on-prem DevOps ecosystem using GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.

- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support scalable enterprise applications.

- Oversee provisioning through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.

- Design secure access patterns (bastions, tunnels) for local development environments.

- Lead DevSecOps integrations to secure pipelines and runtime environments.

- Manage and maintain on-prem Kubernetes clusters, including Stateful Sets, CRDs, PVs, PVCs, etc.

- Handle backup/restore and high availability strategies for self-hosted databases and Git repos.

- Monitor system health using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert Manager.

- Develop Python/Bash automation scripts for operational tasks.

- Optimize and scale internal container registries, artifact stores, and scanning tools.

- Mentor mid/junior engineers and conduct code/infra reviews.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, testers, and security teams.

- Strong knowledge of on-prem virtualization (e.g, VMware vSphere) and Linux.

- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.

- Min 7 years of experience.

- Must have working experience in Gitlab and kubernetes.

- Experience in on-prem DevOps ecosystem is a must have requirement.

Location : Remote.

Primary skills (Must have) :.

- GitLab CI/CD (Self-hosted).

- Kubernetes, Helm, Docker.

- Linux administration, Ansible, Terraform.

- Monitoring : Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager.

- CNCF tools : Velero , Longhorn, Kasten, Harbor, Rancher.

Scripting : Python, Bash.
