Platform Head

Job Summary :

The Platform Head will own and manage the shared digital stack (iOS, Android, Web) across SwanSat Group, ensuring high technology velocity, platform reliability, and engineering excellence. This role oversees architecture, releases, and runtime operations for apps and web platforms, delivering secure, scalable, and performant experiences for KhetPe (AgTech), BhoomiSure (InsurTech), and SwanSat (Satellite Services).

Candidate Profile & Skill Requirements :

Experience :

- 10+ years in platform/application engineering with 4+ years leading multi-platform (iOS/Android/Web) teams.

- Proven success in shipping high-scale consumer and enterprise apps with strict uptime and latency targets.

- Hands-on experience in CI/CD, observability, and incident management at scale.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Own platform architecture and roadmap for iOS, Android, and Web with emphasis on modularity, reusability, and backward compatibility.

- Lead DevOps/SRE for the application layer : CI/CD, observability, incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and postmortems.

- Drive platform reliability and performance : uptime, latency, crash-free sessions, app size, and page speed benchmarks.

- Manage secure integrations with SatAITech data/AI services, including API gateways, authentication, and service contracts.

- Enforce security, privacy, and data governance across client and edge services; oversee penetration testing and remediation.

- Lead release management and app-store operations (Google Play/App Store), compliance, ASO, and staged rollouts.

- Own analytics instrumentation, experimentation (A/B testing), and telemetry to enable data-driven product decisions.

- Enable localization, accessibility, and offline-first capabilities for rural and low-connectivity contexts.

- Optimize cloud and client costs; conduct capacity planning and vendor/SaaS/SDK management with clear ROI.

- Build and lead high-performing mobile, web, QA, and DevOps teams; set OKRs and maintain engineering excellence.

- Partner with Product, COO, and Business Heads to translate goals into quarterly delivery plans and measurable outcomes.

Core Technical Skills :

- Architecture for modular apps, micro frontends, and API-first platforms (REST/GraphQL).

- Mobile stacks (Swift, Kotlin, Jetpack, SwiftUI) and/or cross-platform (React Native, Flutter); modern web (React, Next.js).

- DevOps/SRE : containers, orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, blue/green or canary deployments, feature flagging.

- Security by design : OAuth/OIDC, secrets management, data protection, and compliance-ready logging.

- Analytics, experimentation, funnel optimization, and performance profiling (mobile + web).

Leadership Competencies :

- Clear priority-setting and crisp execution.

- Strong stakeholder management across functions.

- Team building, coaching, and governance of code quality.

- Decisive under pressure; strong communication with executives and non-technical teams.

Industry Knowledge (Preferred) :

- AgTech, InsurTech, and Satellite product patterns and data sensitivities.

- Government/enterprise procurement and compliance requirements for digital platforms.
