Methode Electronics, is seeking Engineers to be a part of Optical design team to work on Optical design and simulation, R&D activities for Automotive applications.


Summary:

Assist with strategic growth initiatives and the establishment of optical engineering.

Responsible for Optical design and simulation, R&D activities.


Education: MSc or equivalent in Physics (Specialization in optics/photonics/Photo-electronics)

Job Location: Bengaluru


Key Skills

• Experience: 0 to 1 Yrs

• Post Graduate degree in Optics/Photonics/ related with good understanding of optical physics


Job responsibilities:

Should take up on the job training and working on these key activities.

  • Provide key optical simulations and renderings to accelerate design of aesthetics components, ensuring that simulation matches actual product requirements.
  • Optical modeling and electromagnetic simulation of optical surfaces/components
  • Perform lighting simulations for Methode global design centers and communicate recommendations to design team
  • Assist on new RFQ activities.
  • Learn simulation software available with Methode and utilize same for various analysis.
  • Should be proficient at using all lighting equipment like gloss meter, spectrophotometer,
  • Evaluate/create prototypes and correlate with simulation results.
  • Train technician to perform verification.
